STACK.aero Privacy Policy

STACK.aero Privacy Policy
This policy applies to your use of STACK.aero web properties, the Charter Analytics application, including www.help.stack.aero, www.stack.aero and other publicly available content on subdomains of these sites (collectively, the “Site” or “Sites”). We are committed to protecting your personal information. Please take a moment to read the following Privacy Policy to better understand how we strive to guard your personal information.
Why We Collect Personal Information and How We Use It
When you use the STACK.aero Site, we collect and use information that personally identifies you to provide you with access to our services, our people, and to superior customer support. We collect information about you in several ways, with the purpose of operating our websites and providing services that you have requested or authorized. For example, we might ask for your contact information when you express interest in a service. We may request your email address to provide you with important information about the service you have purchased. We may also collect information about the pages you visit on our website to help us improve the Site, analyze trends, and maintain the Site. We merge Site-visitation data with anonymous demographic information for research purposes. We may also use your personal information to contact you to participate in a market research survey, so that we can gauge customer satisfaction and develop better products.

STACK.aero collects information about your visits to our Site, such as the name of your Internet service provider (ISP) and the Internet Protocol (IP) address you use to access the Internet. We also use “cookie” technology to enhance your experience, but we do not use cookies to collect personal information. STACK.aero uses cookies that are session-based and persistent-based. We may also use web beacons, described below.
How We Use Cookies
Session-based cookies exist only during one session. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer. If you have chosen to identify yourself to STACK.aero, we use session cookies containing encrypted information to uniquely identify you. Each time you log into a STACK.aero Site or Service, a session cookie containing an encrypted, unique identifier that is tied to your account is placed on your browser. These session cookies allow STACK.aero to uniquely identify you when you are logged into our Services and to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies are required to use STACK.aero services.

Persistent-based cookies remain on your computer after you close your browser or turn off your computer. STACK.aero uses persistent cookies that only we can read and use to identify browsers that have previously visited our websites. When you purchase services or provide us with personal information, a unique identifier is assigned you. This unique identifier is associated with a persistent cookie that STACK.aero places on your Web browser. STACK.aero is especially careful about the security and confidentiality of the information stored in persistent cookies. For example, STACK.aero does not store account numbers or passwords in persistent cookies. If you disable your Web browser’s ability to accept cookies, you will be able to navigate the STACK.aero websites, but you will not be able to successfully use STACK.aero services.

STACK.aero may use information from sessions and persistent cookies in combination with data about our customers to provide you with information about our company and services.
How We Use Web Beacons
Web beacons may be used alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about customers and visitors’ usage of STACK.aero websites and interaction with emails from our company. Web beacons are clear, electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular website tied to the Web beacon, and a description of a website tied to the web beacon. For example, STACK.aero may place web beacons in marketing emails that notify the us when you click on a link in the email that directs you to one of STACK.aero’s websites. STACK.aero uses web beacons to operate and improve our websites and email communications.

When you opt-in (sign up) for a newsletter or agree to receive email, we may use a “click-through URL” to track links that you click. We may associate that data with your personal information to provide you with more focused email communications. STACK.aero email communications include an unsubscribe link allowing you to stop delivery of that type of communication at any time. STACK.aero may use information from web beacons in combination with customer data to provide you with information about STACK.aero and our services.
